Judge Jan Sprij
I was introduced to agility by a friend in 1994, with my first dog, Border Collie, Tommy and there it all started.
Coming from a sporting family, and been trained to be a pro footballplayer in my youth, Agilty appeared to me the next logic step and loved it ever since.
Running my dogs brought me loss and succes, but most of all it brought me a lot new friends and a lot of new experiences
Standing at the other side is a total different experience and I really love it. I became a judge 3 years ago and it’s a great honor to be a judge at Junior European Open. My motto as a trainer and handler has always been; “Everyone has got a chance, never give up, whatever happens. The loser of today is the winner of tomorrow”
As a handler , my highlights were;
- Dutch Champion individual 2012
- Dutch Champion team 2013, 2014
- 4 times participant at the AWC (winning Agility Individual 1996)
- 6 times participant at the EO
- Winner IMCA individual 2011
As a judge: I judged the Dutch AWC qualifiar final and was a judge at the International Sheltie Competition.
